My baby shower is coming up very soon, and the dress I ordered for it just arrived! I’m so excited – my family is pretty far away and all of my friends are men, so I was assuming I just wouldn’t have a baby shower. I was okay with it, a little bummed but nothing major. Then one day, my church choir director told me that the ladies at church wanted to throw me one! They are seriously the sweetest people in the whole planet.
I don’t know about you guys, but the third trimester has me feeling huge. As much as I’m looking forward to my baby shower, I’m a little nervous about what to wear. One night while I couldn’t sleep, I started browsing Pink Blush’s maternity section. They have the cutest clothes, and they’re pretty well made! I bought my dress for our December choir concert from them, and now the dress for my baby shower! (PS: Pink Blush has NO idea who I am and that I’m writing this blog post about their merchandise. I just really love their brand!)
The one I picked out is their Pink Short Sleeve Fitted Maternity Dress and I’m loving it! I’m 5’9″, and the dress hits right at my knees. The fabric is so soft and feels great against my third-trimester sensitive skin. It’s comfy, too! The cut is just right for my big belly, and I like the way they did the pleats. It’s a little different than the shirred effect of most maternity clothing and looks so much more tailored.
The arm openings are stretchy, and they hit at such a flattering point. I’ve gained a little more weight than I probably should have this pregnancy, and feel a lot bigger in my arms. This dress has the ability to make me feel much better about my body while I’m still growing Baby B. She’s totally worth it!
Serious love for this dress, guys. I can’t wait to wear it for the baby shower, and will probably be wearing it a lot here in the last few months of pregnancy as fewer and fewer things fit. I can imagine wearing it with lots of different items. Maybe a denim jacket to dress it down? Or heels to dress it up! Throw a belt and some flats on and I’m ready to teach. It’s gonna get a lot of use, that’s for sure.
More Ideas of What To Wear
So I’m covered for the baby shower, but Aaron and I want to do a DIY maternity shoot next month as well. I have a few items picked out for that, and thought I would share them in case you are looking too! I’m linking these all from Pink Blush Maternity since they’ve been my go-to this pregnancy for fancier outfits. Old Navy and Target are great places to look too, but don’t have as large of a maternity section as Pink Blush.
